Roman and Kim  > OREPA > 2007-08-04 "Black Hair: An Allegory"
The Oak Ridge Environmental Peace Alliance, for their 8-4-07 peace rally, in Bissell Park, Oak Ridge, TN, creatively adapted a Japanese folk tale by changing the characters to animals. From Fare Martin's "Mysterious Tales of Japan", OREPA interpreted this allegory to describe how the U.S. has wandered from its ideal interests. After prostituting itself to corporate bankrolls and lust for world domination the question remains, "can the U.S. redeem itself?"
