Roman and Kim > AB: GNVC main organizers, Dr. Alicia Renee Farris & Dr. Laurie Pappas with Marianne Williamson in the center. Marianne, an internationally acclaimed writer & speaker, is co-founder of DOP campaign & gave GNVC final key note address on 4-21.
Roman and Kim > AC: Colleen Mills & Linda Henderson are lkey organizers of the growing Michigan DOP campaign, also called "Citizens for Peace". They lead the successful workshop on 4-20 titled "Nonviolence in Politics: Department of Peace".

Roman and Kim > AE: Prince Asiel Ben Israel, International Ambassador of the African Hebrew Israelites of Jerusalem, was key note speaker Sun., 4-17 PM. For 37 years he has helped develop an effective nonviolent African American community in Israel (based on MLK's Center for Humanity).

SCLC that won the award was founded by MLK & continues to champion the cause of nonviolence. SCLC isimplement ing MLK's vision to institualize & globalize nonviolence.
